Our approach

How we turn Attio into results.

We listen first, design second and build only what makes a real difference - a CRM your team will actually use, delivered in clear stages with no bloat, no jargon and no surprises.

We untangle CRMs. We don't overcomplicate them.

Start here

Why do CRM projects fail?

Almost never because of the software. Six patterns account for the overwhelming majority of the failures we're called in to fix, and they arrive in a predictable order: each one is harder to undo than the last. Our approach exists because of them.

01Selection

The platform was wrong from the start

Chosen on a demo, a discount or a recommendation from a business that works nothing like yours. No amount of configuration rescues a bad fit.

02Design

Nobody mapped the process first

The system automates a workflow nobody properly understood. Assumptions get baked into the data model, and finding out costs far more later.

03Contract

The scope was never agreed

Work starts without a signed-off design or a costed plan. Requirements expand, the budget drifts, and nobody can point at a document that says what "done" means.

04Build

The build was one big reveal

Months of work land in a single demonstration. By the time anyone can react, the expensive decisions have already been made.

05Go-live

The team never adopted it

Training was one all-hands session nobody remembers. Within a month half the company is quietly back in the spreadsheet.

06After go-live

Nobody owned it after go-live

The project ends, the partner leaves, and the system drifts out of step with a business that keeps changing. Within a year it’s a liability.

How we run it

Waterfall or agile? Neither, on its own.

Fix everything up front and you build the wrong thing precisely. Iterate with no fixed destination and the budget wanders. We use a hybrid, and it's the single biggest reason our projects land.

Waterfall

Plan everything, build once

Everything specified and signed off before build starts. Predictable on paper, brittle in practice: the first thing you learn in build is that the spec was wrong somewhere.

Agile

Build in increments, adapt as you go

Short cycles and continuous feedback. Responsive, but without an agreed destination an SME budget can drift a long way before anyone notices.

Our hybrid

Fixed frame, iterative build

We fix the destination and the budget up front in a blueprint, then build towards it in reviewable cycles. You get the certainty of one and the adaptability of the other.

The lifecycle

Five stages. One proven method.

Start at any stage. Most clients start at Blueprint; rescues usually start at Discover.

  1. STAGE 01

    Discover

Understand how the business really runs.

  2. STAGE 02

    Blueprint

Agree a costed design before anyone builds.

  3. STAGE 03

    Build

Configure and migrate in reviewable cycles.

  4. STAGE 04

    Adopt

Get the team live, trained and confident.

  5. STAGE 05

    Evolve

Keep it in step as the business changes.

STAGE 01

Discover

We immerse ourselves in your business: your goals, your teams, your current tools and the friction in between. We map how work actually flows, not how the org chart says it does, and we do it with the people doing the work.

01 / 05

Why it matters

Most CRM projects fail because they automate a process nobody truly understood. Skipping discovery means building on assumptions, and paying for them later.

What you get

A shared, evidence-based picture of how your business works, with the highest-value opportunities prioritised before a penny goes on build.

Typically

Two or three ninety-minute workshops, plus a look at your current system and reporting.

STAGE 02

Blueprint

We translate the findings into a clear, costed solution design: the attio data model, the lifecycle stages, the automations, the integrations and the success measures. You approve it before anyone builds anything.

02 / 05

Why it matters

Without an agreed design and budget up front, scope creeps and expectations drift. A blueprint turns a vague ambition into something you can price, plan and hold us to.

What you get

A documented, costed design and phased roadmap you sign off - and own outright, whoever ends up building it.

Typically

One to two weeks, fixed price. This is where most engagements start.

STAGE 03

Build

We configure, develop and test in short cycles, showing you working software early and often. Migration and integrations happen here too, in stages, so nothing depends on a single cutover night.

03 / 05

Why it matters

A single big-bang build hides risk until it's expensive to fix. Cycles surface problems while they're still cheap, and let your feedback shape the result.

What you get

Working software you see and steer throughout, with your data migrated cleanly and the model proven against real records rather than samples.

Typically

Two to eight weeks depending on scope, with a review at the end of every cycle.

STAGE 04

Adopt

We roll out with role-based training, short documentation your team will actually read, and hands-on support through the first weeks - including an internal champion equipped to answer the everyday questions.

04 / 05

Why it matters

The best-built CRM delivers nothing if people quietly revert to spreadsheets. Adoption is where most of the return on the investment is won or lost.

What you get

A confident team using the system from day one, a smooth go-live, and a two-week review that fixes the small frictions before they become habits.

Typically

Rolled out team by team, with a parallel run where the risk warrants it.

STAGE 05

Evolve

We stay on as your managed partner: monitoring, optimising and extending the workspace as the business changes, so the value compounds instead of decaying.

05 / 05

Why it matters

Your business never stands still, and a CRM left untended drifts out of step with it. Continuous improvement keeps the system an asset rather than a growing liability.

What you get

A named consultant who knows your model, quarterly optimisation reviews, and a straight view on which new attio features are worth adopting.

Typically

Ongoing, on service hours, with a month's notice and a handover pack whenever you want to take it in-house.

In practice

Working with us, day to day.

Six things you can hold us to, on any engagement.

A senior consultant who knows you

A named expert leads your engagement end to end. No hand-offs to people who have never met you.

Plain-English communication

We explain the why behind every recommendation, free of jargon, so you can make an informed call.

Working software, early

You see and shape the build in short cycles rather than waiting months for a reveal.

Measurable outcomes

We agree what good looks like up front and report against it: time saved, visibility gained, admin removed.

No surprises on cost

Clear scope and transparent pricing mean you always know what you're spending and why. Never a shock invoice.

A partner beyond go-live

We don't disappear once the system is live. We stay on to support, optimise and grow it with you.

What we need from you: one decision-maker who can settle disagreements about process, a few hours from the people who'll use it, honesty about what's broken today, and a willingness to change a process rather than just digitise it.
